THE PROJECT

The transformation of an attic in the historic center of Florence was carried out through a meticulous renovation by the Eutropia Architecture studio.
The original floor plan was completely reimagined, introducing new volumes to suit the project's needs.

The rearrangement of spaces was crucial to give the residence a new tourist-oriented purpose. New rooms and services were created, and a spacious living area was generated.
The kitchen and living room coexist harmoniously in a single, luminous volume, encapsulating all distinctive elements later echoed in other areas of the house: wood, iron, and light.

Despite the complexity of the spatial layout, the interior appears harmonious due to the use of natural colors and the skillful blend of historical elements, such as the original wooden ceiling and the new Cor-ten steel staircase.
Much of the furniture was custom-designed, representing a balance between tradition and modernity.
Wooden furnishings, typical of Tuscan tradition, coexist with contemporary design; an example is the large dining table crafted from a massive raw chestnut board on an iron sheet structure.

THE PELLET INSERT

Within the spacious living area, the pellet insert meets the specific requests of the client, who has always been connected to the element of fire. In the project, the presence of fire, an element traditionally associated with conviviality, was indispensable.
The characteristics of the space influenced the choice of a pellet product with compact dimensions.

The pellet insert finds its place in the equipped wall, partially embedded in the structure, which contains part of its volume.
