Studio flat
Compact heat pump solution that produces domestic hot water and, at the same time, exchanges the air in the rooms with new outside air, recovering all the internal energy. This is the fastest and most efficient way to cool and heat these types of spaces. In addition, the system does an excellent job of managing humidity, which can be a problem in small spaces. Combined with a pellet stove, the system is even more efficient and economical both in the autumn, where the stove is sufficient to take the edge off the chill, and in the colder months of the winter. In fact, the heat produced by the stove is distributed to the other rooms by the air system, which not only heats them but also eliminates excessive humidity issues.

Flat
Compact heat pump solution that produces domestic hot water and simultaneously heats or cools the flat via the radiant underfloor heating system. In addition, the integrated air exchange system keeps the air clean at all times and controls humidity in summer to prevent condensation forming on the floor when it cools. In combination with a hydro pellet stove, the system is particularly efficient because Maestro+ favours the most cost-effective generator, ensuring high comfort. Within the system, the pellet stove supplies both underfloor heating and domestic hot water.

Villa with pool
In this case, the hybrid installation is 100% renewable because both energy sources used - biomass and photovoltaics - are renewable. The heat pump is used whenever it is convenient at times of sufficient photovoltaic production, when the outside temperatures are favourable. Biomass, on the other hand, comes into play when there is no photovoltaic production, when high temperatures are required (e.g. in the anti-legionella treatment of storage tanks and recirculation units) or simply to save electricity for the car. The design of the system can include (custommade) heat pumps, larger storage tanks to integrate solar thermal energy and biomass. In addition, pellet stoves can be foreseen in living rooms, or pellet boilers in service areas.

Block of flats
It often happens that, in blocks of flats and during the coldest days of the year, thermal energy is never enough, all heating systems are switched on, and solar thermal panel contributions are too low. For these situations, the installation of several centralised heat pumps (installed in series) is envisaged, requiring a substantial electrical commitment, with significant fixed costs. The hybrid solution with biomass solves these problems, providing a safe backup and avoiding the fixed costs of gas supply. Management of biomass boilers is minimal, thanks to automatic storage and cleaning cycles that guarantee seasonal autonomy. The heat pump can be sized on standard consumption and not on peak demand, reducing the initial investment and construction costs as a connection to the gas network is no longer required.

In combination with the Bioxigen® system, it enables the continuous sanitisation and deodorisation of the rooms with a process that releases active ions into the air, which continuously removes the microbes present and reduces specific volatile organic compounds. The included control system provides for the management of the entire boiler room, with highly evolved and integrated logics, and offers remote control, as well as the management of energy consumption and production.

Hotel
A hybrid system with a biomass generator to manage production peaks, especially at times of higher demand for domestic hot water, and during the anti-legionella treatment cycles of the DHW storage and recirculation tanks. In addition, the biomass system is automatically activated in the event of a power failure to ensure the best comfort for customers at all times. Smaller heat pumps, sized for standard operation, can be used in the design and installation, as peak heat production is supported by biomass. The advanced control system takes care not only of the installed machines, but also of the energy distribution logic, without limits of managed areas or zones. It can also be integrated with other BMS or RMS systems, which change settings in relation to occupancy or bookings.
